I'm not on the Parks and Recreation-bandwagon and I really didn't know much about Amy Poehler before listening to her book, 'Yes Please', on Audible. I was surprised by how much I liked it and her. I loved that she started it out by talking about her own self-doubt when it came to writing the book. As a writer, there's nothing more soul-crushing than your own doubts, they consume you. It's so easy to get caught up in the negative thoughts swirling around in your mind that you never finish, or worse, simply never start. Amy's advice: put your brain in a drawer, pick up a pen and just do it. Maybe Nike should sponsor her next book.
